Steve is the Managing Partner of Power Insights. Prior to founding Power Insights, he was a partner in PwC’s Deals Strategy team providing M&A strategy and commercial due diligence for private equity clients and portfolio companies. Before joining PwC he was a Partner & Associate Director at BCG focused on the aerospace & defense sector, with experience leading strategy efforts, operational transformations, digital and large-scale change programs. His career has focused on industrial equipment and services strategy topics across sectors including aerospace & defense, space & satellites, power infrastructure and electrical equipment.  

Originally trained as a physicist, Steve holds a PhD in Physics from Northwestern University. His research focus was in experimental high-energy particle physics, and he was a member of the CMS collaboration at CERN’s LHC experiment, where he worked on detector electronics calibration and commissioning. He served as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps and led veteran diversity initiatives at both BCG and PwC.
